Access Your Intuition And Take Charge Of Your Health
I want to bring you something that's really important and very dear to my heart. It's returning to wholeness. What I mean by returning to wholeness is returning to your absolute intuition and instincts that are not influenced by culture, society or your family upbringing.
What are your intuition and instincts about how you want to navigate your cancer journey? You have the answers inside of you. You are your own best expert on this. And that’s what I ask people when I coach them.
When I saw my first oncologist, he asked me a very powerful question.
“Dan - how did such a young man as yourself get into the business of cancer?”
That triggered my instinct to ask his question inward. So, my absolute instincts became activated, probably from survival mode or some kind of innate wisdom. Then, my absolute intuition followed by answering that question internally. And in short - I was living an ignorant, arrogant life. I wasn't being honest and open to my true authentic self. And I certainly was transgressing from nature's laws and wasn’t living optimally for my health and well-being, that's for sure.
Here are four stories to help you have an open dialogue and find your true authentic intuition and instincts. If you can find that and follow it, miracles will happen.
Becoming Your Own Best Expert
A young man in his 30s came to me and he said - “I heard of your story, I about you. Can you give me some perspective on cancer and what I can do?”
So, I laid it out and said, “Look - there are three options. You can go 100% natural and alternative. You can go 100% chemotherapy, radiation surgery and medicine, or you could do an integrative approach. And I want us to navigate through dialoguing with each other what you innately want to do, without influence from the doctors, your family and society, or any fear.”
Lo and behold, when we started to dialogue, what came up for him was that he felt like this all started when he got the first COVID-19 vaccine - because he did not want to do it. His absolute Instinct was to say no, but his family and society pressured him to do it. Shortly after that, he got a particular cancer that may be the result of a COVID-19 vaccine side effect, so he felt regret.
So, we worked through that dialogue. Then, we did a conscious breathing session for about an hour and a half, and then he found his way.
He said - “I want to do this 100% natural. I don't want to do chemotherapy and radiation. I've already selected gentle surgery.” Perfect, I said. Let's follow that. Now, you have to put your team together. I'm going to act as your coach or assistant coach here, and I'm going to be the person that dialogues with you and supports you being in your own absolute intuition and instincts, having the courage to follow that no matter what. And we continued to do conscious breathwork.
Then, he found a functional nutritionist and he put his team together. His heartset was on creating music for the world. And I was just there to help him keep his mindset in place. So that was one story of how someone came to me with cancer and I didn't have to tell him what to do, what to eat - he already knew. And two years later, all the cancers were regressing. It was metastasized, but that got regressed. He's doing fine. He's living his life.
When Cancer Isn’t the Main Problem
I have another one that offsets this pretty nicely. She was a woman and mother of four, and through her cancer story and journey, she sought me out. I gave her a similar speech about what you can do to heal yourself.
She said, “I'm going to do an integrative approach. I'm going to do surgeries and chemo, and I'm going to follow the medical advice, but I have a nutritional team in play. And I know what to do for exercise.” All right, great. You’ve got your offense and your defense in play. This is amazing. How can I support you? And she says “Well, I'm really interested in the breathwork.”
During my coaching with her, we found out that her dad had passed away from the same cancer she had 15 years prior. So I asked her this really painful question that was similar to one I received - “What was your relationship like with your dad?”
And that started to trigger something in her emotionally. It didn't seem like it was a really good relationship. So she started to talk about that, and I said - “Look, you have unresolved things with your dad. Is this an attempt unconsciously to die and go over to the other side and resolve them, or can we resolve them right now? Can we work to resolve the issues like the lack of love you may have not had, or whatever it is that you're feeling or missing from your dad? And she said - whoa! That was the nugget that I believe led to her cancer.
Heal Yourself First and Miracles Can Happen
And then there's a book by Anita Moorjani called Dying To Be Me. She went into a coma, she was so sick that all her organs failed and she was clinically dead. In the process of having a near-death experience, she went to the other side, and guess what? Her problem was her issues with her dad, and she resolved it on the other side - but got a second chance to come back into the world and share her story. Very profound.
Listening to Your Higher Power
And lastly, there was another older woman who had cancer and she was a friend of mine.
So she came to me and said, “Dan - what do I do? What do I eat?” It was all on the surface about certain things she could do. “I'm not doing chemo,” she said. “I'm thinking about the surgery.” And I said, “Well I know of you as being a godly person, someone that reads the Bible and goes to church all the time. So why are you asking me? I have no more power than your God to know what you should be doing, right? So what is your God telling you?”
And she lost it. That was the moment that she started to heal - when she realized she was going outside of her own belief for what we knew to be true for her. So then she put her little team together, she got the surgery and she didn't do chemo, and now she's just spiritually doing well.
