The Earth Element - Microbes Are Here To Heal You

Welcome back to the second week of The Seven Elements of Healing. Last time, we established the foundational framework, and today we're diving into the Earth element.

I want you to know something - parasites, fungi, bacteria – all these microbes are here to heal us.

You’ve been taught that germs cause disease. But germs don’t cause disease if they actually heal us. You may be experiencing some cognitive dissonance in hearing this, but hear me out. On this plane of existence, every statement has an opposite that must also hold true. Just as we've been taught cancer is a disease, we must also consider that cancer is not a disease.

The Great Germ Debate

Back in the 1940s and '50s, there was debate between practitioners like Antoine Béchamp, who suggested that germs aid in healing, and Louis Pasteur, known for pasteurization (which started in the wine industry to kill off mold on grapes) and germ theory. Pasteur's approach led to widespread use of all kinds of antibiotics and disinfectants that claim to kill 99% of the germs, but it’s not working. The overuse hasn't solved our health issues.

The Earth element, one of nature's solid structures, is directly related to this. It’s foundational to our physical existence. It represents our emotional state– standing on our own two feet, rooted, and physically robust, also known as “grounding.” It represents physical strength and stamina. Think of it as the physical environment you inhabit – your home, community, and even your car, organized in harmony and beauty.

The Earth Element and Digestion

The Earth element directly refers to your digestive system. From mouth to anus, it should match the soul of the Earth. The Earth element mirrors the soil's fertility, teeming with microbes that decompose and nourish. Microbes are janitors of the earth - they only consume disease, dying and weak tissue. They clean up decaying matter, and are vital for ecosystem balance. Similarly, in our bodies, if there's an issue with microbes, it suggests an unhealthy terrain.

If someone comes to me with a parasite issue, I know that they have unhealthy tissues - something is irritating them. These things come out of hibernation to do their jobs. This includes honoring our sense of smell, which can trigger memories and hijack us including the smell of cookies and coffee. The key is to restore balance rather than wage war on microbes.

The Earth element is the literal realm of thinking – it’s yes or no.  There’s no gray matter in it.  We want a symbiotic relationship with the microbial world, not go to war with it, for true healing.

The Earth Element and Movement

So movement, especially functional movement such as the seven primal patterns taught by Paul Chek, are programmed into us from birth. We do not have to learn how to crawl - it will happen. These seven primal movement patterns include squatting, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, and gait - which all support optimal digestive function.

Unfortunately, modern conveniences like sitting toilets can disrupt these primal patterns like squatting and affect our digestion. Squatting is necessary for the proper pressures and valve releases. Correcting these patterns can significantly improve health outcomes. That’s often surprising to people who think to themselves, “no way!” That’s how far removed we’ve become from nature. If those are not aligned, your earth element will suffer, especially your movement.

Ultimately, the Earth element asks: Are you nourished, and are you moving in ways that support that nourishment? Aligning movement with our innate abilities promotes health, healing, and transformation.

Many people today are malnourished physically and emotionally, leading to couch potato lifestyles, depression and negative thinking. Addressing these imbalances can break the cycle of suffering and promote holistic health.

I hope this perspective on the Earth element resonates with you and helps you on your journey to wellness.

Key Takeaways

  1. Microbes are Here to Heal Us. There are two sides to the story. Germs can cause disease, but they can also help us to heal.

  2. Earth Helps Us To Be Grounded. It represents our emotional state and physical stamina. Think of standing on our own two feet, being rooted, and physically robust.

  3. Earth Includes Digestion. If you have an issue with digestion, it’s a sign that something is irritating your tissues and may need to be addressed. Allow the microbes to help you rebalance your digestion.

  4. Earth Includes Movement. There are seven primal movement patterns that don’t need to be taught because we learned them at birth. Aligning movement with our innate abilities promotes health, healing and transformation.

I'm a holistic heroic performance life coach who empowers people dealing with cancer or chronic illness to find their own path towards healing.

As a 6x cancer survivor, I realized that cancer isn’t the disease - it’s the expression of the disease. Cancer was my body’s way of waking me up. And it became my greatest opportunity to awaken into my own conscious spiritual evolution. That’s why I became a holistic heroic performance coach focused on HOPE - Helping Other People Evolve into their true authentic selves.
